TATA the most admired and respected group in India?

2009 will go down as one of the most memorable years for Mr.Ratan Tata and for his TATA group as well.

A look back at what the various companies of TATA group accomplished this year that had a positive impact on the "aam-aadmi" (common man) in India:

1) NANO (the Rs.1 lakh car) was launched in 2009 by Tata Motors

2) Tata Housing launched Low-Cost Housing Project to offer apartments starting at Rs 3.9 lakh

3) In a win-win move... Tata Indicom launched "pay per call" pricing and ever since has been adding millions every month to their customer base.

4) Last but not least TATA Chemicals launched recently "Swatch" a water purifier for Rs.700 something, while the existing water purifiers from HLL and Aquaguard in the similar category are priced well above Rs.1500.
