The Sensex closed at 19642.75 up 7.03 points while the Nifty closed at 5943.05 up 3.35 points.
RIL, Coal India, Sun Pharma, Hero MotoCorp and GAIL were the top five Sensex gainers. Tata Steel, Jindal Steel, Bharti Airtel, SBI and ICICI Bank were the top five losers.
