The Sensex closed at 19580.81 up 154.10 points while the Nifty closed at 5950.85 up 45.75 points.
The top five Sensex gainers were Jindal Steel, Hindalco, Tata Steel, ICICI Bank and Maruti. The only two Sensex losers were NTPC and Infosys.
