On the last day of the year the Sensex closed at 19426.71 down 18.13 points while the Nifty closed at 5905.10 down 3.25 points.
The top five Nifty gainers were PNB, DLF, ACC, GAIL and Tata Power. The top five losers were HCL Tech, ITC, TCS, IDFC and L&T.
