The benchmark indices the Sensex and the Nifty closed marginally higher today. The Sensex closed at 18793.36 up 84.38 points while the Nifty closed at 5704.60 up 28.60 points.
The top five gainers today were L&T, HUL, Sun Pharma, Infosys and Sterlite while the top five losers today were BHEL, GAIL, Bharti Airtel, Tata Motors and Hindalco.
