The benchmark indices the Sensex and the Nifty lost 204.97 and 67.70 points respectively. The Sensex closed at 18430.85 and the Nifty closed at 5597.90.
The top five gainers as far as Sensex is concerned were Maruti, Dr.Reddy's, Infosys,HUL and Wipro.The top five losers were SBI, Tata Motors, L&T, Hindalco and Hero MotoCorp.
