The Sensex today rose 111.13 points to close at 18793.44 while the Nifty rose 32.90 points to close at 5717.15.
TCS, L&T, Bharti Airtel, NTPC and ICICI Bank were the top five Sensex gainers while Jindal Steel, ITC, Sterlite, Tata Motors and Hero MotoCorp were the top five Sensex losers.
