The Indian markets welcomed the news of Obama's re-election and closed in positive territory. The BSE Sensex closed at 18,902.41 up 85.03 points while the NSE Nifty closed at 5760.10 up 35.70 points.
The top five Sensex gainers were SBI, HDFC, BHEL, NTPC and Hindalco. The top five losers were Tata Power, Bharti Airtel, Coal India, RIL and Cipla.
