The Sensex closed the session today at 18842.08 up 305.07 points while the Nifty closed at 5727.45 up 91.55 points.
The top five Sensex gainers were Bharti Airtel, Jaiprakash Associates, BPCL, Reliance Infrastructure and Sesa Goa. Power Grid Corporation, NTPC and ONGC were the only losers.
